What is Remix OS?
Remix OS is an operating system which, when installed on your PC or Laptops, allows you to run apps, games, android features, etc. on your Laptop or PC. They are similar to Android Emulators, but they are faster. Also in comparison, Remix OS gives much smoother Android user interface and are easy to use.
How to Download and Install Remix OS 2.0 on your PC or Laptop
Requirements: These are the basic requirements which must be met in order to download and install Remix OS in your PC or Laptop.
1: Remix OS 2.0
2: Torrent Downloading Client.
3: Boot mode activated BIOS.
4: Windows PC (Works with all the versions of Windows)
5: USB 3.0
6: 8 GB USB Drive (Format: Fat32)
7: Remix OS USB Installer
8: Working Internet Connection for Downloading Remix OS
Step by Step Guide on how to install Remix OS 2.0 on your PC or Laptop
Step 1: Meet all the requirements mentioned above.
Step 2: Download Remix OS 2.0 on your PC or Laptop.
Step 3: Extract the files from the downloaded .zip file on your desktop.
Step 4: In the desktop, a new folder will be created containing Remix OS USB tool and Remix OS 2.0.
Step 5: Connect your pendrive which is in FAT 32 format with your PC. If your pendrive is not in the format Remix OS require, format the USB drive to Fat 32.
Step 6: Run OS USB tool on your PC.
Step 7: Select the ISO file. Also select the drive in which you want to install the ISO file.
NOTE: Do not directly extract ISO files in USB, as this tool makes USB bootable.
Step 8: Now, the Remix OS USB tool has two fields. In one field you have to add path of the ISO file and in the other field path of the USB disk on which it will install the OS.
Step 9: Click ok and wait for the process to finish. This process may take time, depending on the read and write speed of your PC or Laptop.
Step 10: Reboot your PC or Laptop into Bias mode. A list of devices will appear which can be booted, choose USB drive which has Remix OS 2.0 installed.
Note: If your existing Windows OS gets booted, then change the BIOS boot mode to legacy and repeat the previous steps listed above.
Step 11: A blue screen will appear with two options: Guest mode and Resident mode. In Guest mode, you are just testing the OS. Once you reboot, all tasks, data and applications will be lost. Whereas, in Resident Mode, all tasks, data, progress and applications will be saved on Remix OS. Also, you won’t have to install the Remix OS again after you reboot the device.
Step 12: Select the option based on your choice.
Step 13: Follow the instructions to finish installation process.
Step 14: Done. Remix OS 2.0 is successfully installed on your PC or Laptop.
